Nah, hugs are good. Hugs in my books don't necessarily mean friend zoned.

Patience is a virtue my friend :p

If a girl that you tried asking out has a boyfriend (or vice versa for girls), would you still be friends (and maybe take a dive that they have friends which are single) with them or dump them??

Well if you asked her out without even knowing her well enough to know that she has a boyfriend, then I'm sorry my friend but you're not going to be able to get anybody.

^ unless you were doing random approaches on the street, you should've found things about her first before going first with such a question.

So they must look like me yea? ;-)

Plus I'm very tall and good to hug, and many people say my hands are the warmest and softest hands they've touched.

I must be perfect! :)
your atar is pretty shit though, that's a bit of a deal breaker

Oh I've found that girls will quite often - namedrop their boyfriend somehow to avoid that, or something.

So your question is how to proceed?

Well... in saying that you're single, you kinda flagged that you like her - and when she replies she has a boyfriend well... you're pretty much stuffed.

So my advice would just be to be like "Oh okay" and then quickly move the conversation to something else, and since you can't hit it off with her - and if you're not interested in making friends, find some way to break it off a while later and never see her again. But cordially.

I started my (first) relationship in Feburary of year 12, and she went to another school, so only got to see her once maybe twice a week (there were a few exceptions as i got use to school :p)

Managed to make it last 11 months, survived the entire HSC and still got an ATAR of 90 :D

So yes, it can be done, but if things screwed up at the wrong time I might've been screwed. And yes, we did have .... 'hiccups' at times (i rarely call them fights)
