Completely agree, I can see how they're trying to make the space seem more modern and friendly etc... but those little tables and round spaces are not conducive to studying. But who reckons some of the sitting and small round tables are not made for studying instead use for a chat or relaxing time with friends?
LOL....use the lifts man.
isnt there only a lift at tha entrance door?? how about your at the bamboo area huh??? I mean the old lib got 2 stairs on 2 sides so its kiunda easy to move bt the levels

Today at 12 I went to try and find a single study desk and all the single spots on the upper levels were FULL at 12 noon in week 2!!! I ended up going back down stairs to level 1 and 2and sat down at one of those long rectangle tables and i was there for only like 5 min before a group of 4 people came and sat down at the table and began chatting about what they were doing on the weekend.... I think I'll just study at home from now on because I like it being nice and quiet in my own little area (like the desks back at the old library) not nosiy and loud.Completely agree, I can see how they're trying to make the space seem more modern and friendly etc... but those little tables and round spaces are not conducive to studying.
LOL never thought I would miss the old library - they should really leave it open as a study spaceToday at 12 I went to try and find a single study desk and all the single spots on the upper levels were FULL at 12 noon in week 2!!!
