Hi,
This might be a silly question, but there is a "New Plan" for First years in semester 1 which says that instead of taking engg1811, you take one elective, and do the computing course in S2. However, I've picked engg1811 in S1, so does this simply mean that I will do two electives in semester 2?

Yes, or you could do ELEC1111 and do a second "first year elective" in late 2nd year or 3rd year, but it would be better to do at least 1 first year elective.

I'm actually in the same situation you're in but I went to the university to do my timetable and one of those guys did it for me, so I assume they have it under control. I think I'm doing 2 faculty electives in S2
