Am I the only one yet to do an enrolment session?

Mine's on Monday.
I dont think i can enrol into units until then?

I seriously dread my timetable for this semester...

Hey theism. I had my enrol on Wednesday. Monday is indeed the last enrolment session. You're correct that you can't enrol into your units / register in your classes for the timetable until you've received your academic advice and officially been accepted into your Degree.

Thanks Will.

Do you know how the enrollments are staged?
I took an early offer but forgot about enrolment/orientation until the end of Jan.

Is the last enrollment session mostly for those who transferred courses or unis?

I remember last year when I transferred to Macq my enrollment session was also in the week before uni starts.

The last one is usually for transfers and late round offers as well as any internationals for the last week. The last day is the worst as its credit for previous study day and takes the longest administratively.

Remember you can buy books cheaply through uni facebook groups. You can buy a more than good enough book for a fraction of the price. Also it's possible to borrow your text in the reserve and scan chapters at the library and get the machine to email it right to you. Also all units are required to provide you a copy of the textbook in the reserve (part of the library with 3 hour loans) so they should be there at least eventually.

7. One final note on textbooks before you begin semester. You can find the textbooks required for your units by following this link, http://www.coop-bookshop.com.au/bookshop/action/DataSubjSelect selecting ‘Macquarie University 2013 Session 1' and entering a relevant unit code. Textbooks are often very expensive, cheaper alternatives to the Co-op book shop often include
www.textbookexchange.com.au (for second hand text books- you will have to make an account to search)
http://booko.com.au/ (for new and used price comparisons)
If it gets to the point where semester is a few days away and you still haven't bought your textbooks i would buy them online from the Co-op; they have free and fast delivery which will save you having to line up for hours.
Note that if you plan to buy from a website, you should do it several weeks before semester begins so that you receive them in time.

Fantastic information and advice in this thread.

I just accepted my early entry offer into a Bachelor of Environment (major in EES) and am trying to sort out my first year units. Two units which I intend to choose require HSC prerequisites (STAT171: "Band 1"(?) in Mathematics Ext 1/2 and CBMS108: Chem Band 5).

Since this is dependent on how I performed in the HSC, does that mean I would have to wait until Dec 14th when my HSC results are released before I can enroll in these units?

I think you ought to send an ask to mq. This can be done here

Just a warning, it may take some time for you to get a response. Tends to be busy around exam times. Good luck!
