How many decimal places do you approximate to if you have to use the method twice? I'm always off the answers :(

use the full calculator readout when you do it the first time for the second time.. most calculators have a ANS button. use that..
then for your finally answer, if it doesn't state to how many d.p's then do it too 2

When plugging in the values into your calculator always use exact values. For your final answer put it in a form that the question asks or uses.

i.e.

"leave your answer to 2 decimal places"

Or the question itself might contain some decimals

"Let x=1.234" , which in this case would mean leave your answer with 3 decimal places.

The answer is only accurate to the given significant figures so maybe like 3 sig. fig. is good enough. the marker is looking for whether you can use the formula or not rather than how many decimals you can write.

remember to also use radians!!
