we are nearly finished with polynomials and I think we are moving onto vectors soon, followed by circle geo and absolute values (I think)

Ik this is crazy late, but bruh 💀 they started integration in my 3U class yr 11 for adv (I wasn’t allowed to do accelerated or spec classes due to me accelerating a yr above in classes) does ngo and sons always go off syllabus like this normally? Like we skipped curve sketching using derivative and instead randomly started to do integration w logs and shit

Nah bc if they did curve sketching w derivatives, they wouldn’t redo differentiation again

differentiation is split into two, at least when i did it. essentially what my class did was differentiation a (differentiation of algebra, logs and exponentials) halfway through year 10, did a few more topics that would be covered in the first term for 3u then at the end of year 10 we did differentiation b (curve sketching and optimisation). i only did integration in the 2nd half of year 11, and we only did the algebra bits, then did a few 3u topics (vectors, induction, trig equations) then went back to integration of expo + log and trig

depends on what class you're in but adv usually follows penrith and girra's syllabus, and while they do have a set order of topics if enough people want to do a certain topic next then they can adjust it (that was the case in my class)

I know Mr Mai usually takes the order of math topics in a different way... because usually he asks the class what he would like to do.

But for sure, at the end of Year 12 you will have covered every topic. :)

Yeah I have no clue - when I used to go the Ngo and Sons, there were a lot of times where I didn't know what was happening but I think it was coz i just joined late. I have no idea what the situation is like now.
