No electives in a double degree?? (1 Viewer)

Is it true that if you do a double degree you can't choose any electives?

I will be doing commerce/engineering but I also want to study french.

You can't do an elective as your elective is taken up by a subject from your double.

EDIT: You probably could do one, but it is not mandatory, and probably wouldn't count at all towards your degree.

Thanks. I don't mind if it doesn't count towards my degree, I just want to learn french, so if i can't do it at uni i can always do it somewhere else.

you can do engineering / commerce + diploma of French
will add 6-12 months to your degree though.
