Hahahahaha, I don't think it will make me unemployable. Ever heard of bridging courses?

enjoy being unemployable!
By the subjects that supercalamari and want2beasenior are doing (EX 1, legal, visual arts) they seem to be in the journalism, lawyer, artist sort of fields. So maths and science is not really necessary if they want to do these types of jobs.

If you don't like them now, how can you grow to like them?

Besides, bridging courses take up your extra time.

I'd love to see you try picking up Chemistry in a bridging course, having not done it in Senior High School -- Trust me it wont be easy. :p

Question, is MX1 much different from 5.3 Maths in terms of difficulty and time-consumption?

What do you suggest I do in the holidays before Term1 Year 11?
It's just that I'm moving to another school which much higher level of competition and I want to feel prepared.. or I'd die from paranoia :cold:

The maths director at my current school said that people expect MX1 to be so much harder than 2U maths but it's only that there are more topics and harder applications of the topics.. But that's only at THIS school.

What I suggest, is read the syllabus for MX 1 and get a basic idea of the topics, then start to make your own notes on them.
