so, what were the questions form the schools who didnt do the catholic trials? (did anyone not do it except our school...who ALWAYS does it except for this year damn them!)
ours were:
-Responding: 3 texts (leunig cartoon, newspaper article [Putting a face to the race for a cure] and a reflection [Going back to New Zealand]), pretty standard questions (name 2 visual techniques etc. nothing unexpected there)
-Composing: write an engaging written response in any form except poetry. three stimulus pieces: your imagination can take you further than your car ever will, the more difficult the journey the more worthwhile, if you close your eyes you can go anywhere
-Essay: How have the composers of your texts explored the concept of the importance of the journeying process?

paraphrased slightly throughout, but there you have it. will post paper 2 questions 2moro...after have done them...DOOM.

haha our school SUPPOSEDLY writes their own papers. actually it usually does, but this year they took our creative writing thing from the catholic papers and the other two articles from the independant trial. The actual essay questions were all our own though (no other school would ask crap questions like that)

um, we did ours today.... first part we had 3 things, a poem, article and cartoon. 2nd part we had to write a letter to our friend about a journey of the memory... like the article in part 1 cos it was on songs triggering memories, and the third part we had to talk bout how the composers of the texts we studied gave us knowledge and broadened our understanding of our world or sumthin like that, refering to core text, one stim book and one orm

ok, i just remembered i said id post up the questions form paper 2 here as well. they were the exact catholic trial for this paper...but ill post em up neway shall i?
-King Lear: local library is holding an opening day. you have 2 write a speech about King Lear explaining how you were able to relate to it and one other, different reading possible of the text. Consider staging, ligting, readings etc. (we were all a little thrown by this - its not that it was particularly hard, just that it required you 2 write a substantial amount on how you personally related to it...needed a little bit of quick thinking and creative license...read: lie through your teeth!) ;)
-Wordworth/Malouf: humanity considers itself mroe sophisticated than the wild yet cannot ever really escape its need for the natural world. To what extent have you seen this in the texts you have studied? (yeah, a little odd i thought. wasnt really prepared for a humanity considers itself more sophisticated question, needed to twist around my info 2 fit)
-Telling the Truth: a quote about how truth is just someone's version of reality. How has this concept been shown in you prescribed text and two other texts of your own choosing? (pretty easy question...but i still managed 2 stuff it up i think! i choose 2 blame it on nerves...wasnt tho)
