Non syllabus terms in Engineering HSC papers (1 Viewer)

I've been doing some past HSC papers and realised that they were some terms that I had never learnt before, I checked and some of them aren't in the syllabus. My questions are can they do that and what happens if they do that?

What are the terms and from what year's paper is this?

If they’re papers from ages ago they could be terms from the old syllabus (got updated in 2012 i think?).
Also it’s NESA - they can do whatever they want
