Ok well....
Take the $10 which is the wine.
Minus $6.... you get the cost of the bottle + the cost of the wine (minus 6)
= 4.... Divide it by 2 and you get $2 value for the bottle.

Alternatively, working backwards, you can say "there's $2 (bottle).... if the wine costs $6 MORE than that, the value of the wine = $8.. + $2 = $10"

basic algebra should explain.

Let bottle be represented by letter $(x)
Therefore the wine itself must cost $(x+6) as stated in the information.

That means

bottle + wine = $10
x + (x + 6) = $10
2x + 6 = 10
2x = 4
x = 2

Therefore the bottle (represented by x) is equal to $2.

Find out how many "3/4 s" there are in 24.

In other words.
Divide 24 by 3/4.

Should be 32.

if you want to do this manually (as in divide 24 by three-quaters) just take 24 and multiply it by the reciprocal of 3/4 so you just get:

24 X 4/3 = 96/3 = 32

but if you mean:
How do i make 24/0.75 = 2400/75 you just multiply 24/0.75 with 100. Shift the decimal place two times to the right on both the denominator and numerator and you'll get 2400/75.

But it gives you the same result anyways. i suggest you do the method i mentioned above - its easier than converting a fraction into a decimal then multiplying it by a 10/100/1000 to get it into a whole number THEN dividing the whole deal.

N/A
3/15 (then divide by three to get simpliest fraction)

= 1/5

1/5 * 100

=100/5

=20

Thus, 20% of Daily intake
