Has anyone witnessed anything odd during the exams?

With years of being told that HSC examiners are vultures, it is pretty obvious that it isn't true.

From what I have witnessed:
  • some people who go to the toilet write extremely fast when returning
  • a girl had a (epileptic) fit in the PDHPE exam. Luckily for her (and us), it happened with 2 minutes from finishing time
I'm interested to see if the examiners have cancelled any papers or if you have seen anyone cheat.

That going to toilet thing could be cheating... or it could just be that they felt that they were behind because they wasted 3.5 minutes on a toilet and so wanted to "catch up". Which would just mean it's a psychological thing and that they were just attempting to write as much down and were thinking clearer/harder than before.

I havent heard of anyone from my centre cheat yet... hopefully it stays that way too :)

Our examiner told us that someone had been caught cheating about a week or two ago and has lost his/her HSC....Not sure who it was though, but everyone thought that person was in our school until she clarified that it wasn't...lol

Possums. They would run around in the roof hall and make lots of noise.

I swear if it was the trials I would have clicked it, got up and shouted;

"SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU STUPID ANIMALS, TRYING TO FUCKING WORK HERE..."

a guy's phone went off during the english paper in our centre, nothing happened to him but, he just had to stay behind and talk to the supervisor.

This one guy at our school basically doesn't care and writes about one or two words for every exam. What sucks is that I have to sit right behind him and all he does is cough and blow his nose as loudly as possible. And he's purposely flatulent. It's funny and horrible at the same time. :haha:

Then there was the rain during our Ancient History exam. Our hall has the worst metal roofing ever; you honestly couldn't hear anything above it. And right after the rain stopped, about a million pidgeons decided that the roof was an awesome place on which to socialise.

During my family and community exam, these boys walking outside the exam room began talking about a dump one of them took and took a photo, discribing in detail what it looked like.

- During our Economics exam, the students outside were noisy. One of them kept squealing, and one guy kept saying 'Get Busy'. One of the supervisors had to stand at the window with her arms crossed before they shut up. -_-" That was during period 2. Recess was much quieter.
- Watching the same supervisor in the same exam use a school dictionary in order to complete her crossword in one of her women's magazines. I think she saw me looking at her, 'cause she put it away.\
- And approximately thirty seconds before the exam ended, some truck driver decided to blast his horn twice.

During our Bio exam, at the halfway mark (1.5hr, which is funnily just when I finished) a bird found its way into the wall and began flying around into windows and such. Poor thing. He learnt that he couldn't get through the window, so he took to strutting along the window sill and tapping at the glass every now and then. *pats the birdie*

this wasnt during the hsc, it was actually a while ago, but it was bizzare enough to warrant a mention.

this bird flew into the hall and got the top of its head chopped off by the fans...and flew around dotting blood all over the ceiling before it plopped to the floor.

Hmm.. Oddities.. Not much in my exams...

But because some of our exams have a very small group, they kept on changing the rooms which confused ALOT of us.

For our ESL exam, we had only like 10 people and we usually go to the hall, but the teacher led us to another room, and there were 3 people who didnt know about it and were waiting in front of the hall for like 20 mins. and when they came in, we were about 10 mins late from our starting time.

And for our economics exam, one of my classmates and I came to skool just in time but when we got to the hall, no one was there. so we had to rush to the office ask where the exam was (the office lady was annoyed with us cuz we looked "angry") and we were again.. close to be late... Man wouldn't that be bad if we're late for the exam because of these confusions...

I was a few minutes late - but it was only about 9:18, as we always go in 10 minutes prior to reading time beginning.

*sigh* i still have 1 exam on the 15th.

lol for the legal exam one of the supervisors hit their leg twice on the table.
In some exams the the bloody fat supervisor wouldnt stop coughing and everytime she walked up onto the stage steps it would creak loudly.

And the students outside are loud. And you hear the constant "shhhhhhhhhh" coming from teachers.
