Please keep on topic, I really want to take a break from this thread for a bit and I can't keep watching it forever.

If you want to chat, do so in the High School Nonsense thread. Last time I'm saying this for today.

why am I getting a strong feeling this day is becoming more about food/girls ratio/socialising/anything-else-but-work ??

then again....

im goin for the pizza :)
Because that's what it is. Tbh, I could probably learn more by just staying home and studying by myself but it'll be good to put names to faces, meet new people etc. Even if you sacrifice a day (which I won't because I'm planning on going to a few of the seminars), it'll still be worth going to for sure.

I'm sure there will be quite a few people intent on getting a fair bit of work done. Don't worry. :)

im sure if you actually spent your full concentration span on the seminars, you'll get more out of it

IMO even if I get nothing done and spend the whole day fucking around, it'll be worth it just for Carrot's and Drogonoski's seminars.

Well I surely hope that you won't be spending the 'whole day fucking around' because I will give each of the Tutors/Grads a bamboo stick to beat anybody not working hard enough.

Sounds like a plan. I'm looking forward to the seminars though- should learn lots of useful stuff

Work does get done - I was there for the first one and I reckon that it was quite productive (definitely more then I thought it would be).

Course not! I'll have plenty of work to be doing. Just out of curiousity, how long do you think each seminar will run for? (I notice Drogonoski's will be "a short talk")

I've developed a theory that the mods won't delete our posts if we include one comment relevant to the thread.
You realise we could just edit out the irrelevant stuff right? (which is what we normally do in the event of someone contributing to a discussion but then putting something irrelevant, flame or troll inside the same post)

Anyway do you guys usually get there on time? And how late do people usually stay?

Perhaps around 1.5 hours each. Not too long but ofc I feel that MX2 needs a bit more time.
