im getting guilt tripped into a (probably) horrid family snow trip on saturday morning, so i might just make friday night

ariel pink on oct 1st. i've heard he doesn't translate live, but still...

apart from him, a. collective and buzzcocks, i'm not excited for anything at the moment. too bad, since last year was a revelatory year for live music. :(

my disco were pretty cool when they opened for mogwai; kinda thing i might've liked better in high school though.

homewrecker + go for broke + bear trap + no apologies @ the compound 22 enmore 7pm

saturday:
punx picnic @ sydney park 12-5pm
lungs + the optionals + more @ the lansdowne hotel 8pm
jungle fever + bear trap + go for broke + masstrauma @ sandringham hotel, newtown, 8pm
the thaw + rhythm bells + radiant city (i think) @ yvonne ruve, surry hills 8pm
deciding what to do at 8pm :S

but the thaw were excellent last time i saw them and i like them lots. i'd go but i have plans with friends for gerling.

But yeah, The League are finally coming to Oz.

In my opinion they are the only true punk band still in existence.

Rock 4 Rights, put on by Amnesty, Sept 23 on the Gold Coast. Good local talent, looking forward to it.

Carpathian and I Killed The Prom Queen in Byron the week after. Should both be good.

yeah i've seen the thaw before and they are really good, but i happened to miss them on saturday night. Rhythm Bell were good, kinda too mydisco!-esque though.

(p.s. i only thought it was you because i remember seeing that picture daryl (lessthanthree) posted before, i'm so not a stalker)
