Anyone know where I can read the old HSC syllabus? Im particularly interested in the old Material Science and Geology courses.

Sounds like a fascinating course. Wish distinction courses had been fleshed out in it's entirety, with all 11(?) courses being run.

They might have been possible distinction courses, but certainly they were studied as proper subjects in the past. I saw a set of fifty-year-old Material science textbooks in the school library, and one of my teachers who did his HSC in the past did Geology as a subject.
