no, your immune to the scaling down. you can still get scaled up
so if you get good marks and are ranked 1st, 95+ is def. possible.

Ruse kids has pressure too!

This might be a bit off topic:

I have two close friends who are going to J. Ruse next year (Yr11) and even on their oreientation day they were told they are presumed to have completed the Year 11 3 Unit Maths course and when they said they haven't, the were given textbooks and exams papers for the course.

Now they gotta start study from the holiday til the end of the year!

Im gonna go to F. S. which is better suited to me. My friends, although one was dux last year, is realistically not expecting to come anywhere near Top One Hundred next year. F.S. might not have a better reputation academically, I will still definitely be in the top a hundred of the grade next year.

As someone said on TV, if somethin's hard to do (compete in JR and even going there), it's not worth doing.

Advanced : 90/100 84/169 (mean 89)
Extension 1 : 47/50 9/90 (mean 43)
Extension 2 : 37/50 28/37 (mean 42)
Are these Maths or English? If they are indeed English, I'm curious to see what the Extension 2 exam was... if they are Maths marks/ranks, how were your English marks?

those are marks/ranks right?

it is def ext2 english, i can't see maths being out of 50 and only 37 ppl doing it.

i would say around 96-97, i don't think you are higher than median

I think what Hotsauce meant was how is there an exam for extension two english- considering it solely concerns one's own major work

there are assessment tasks (proposal, viva voce and report)- but they are not necessarily 'examinations'

how many ppl in year 12 at ruse that just finished hsc?
about 6 or 7 get UAIs of 100.
something like 80 or 90 get UAIs of 99...
some 10 or so just fucking give up, chuck a rebellion, boycott the HSC, get kicked out of school, do sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.
and the rest, those that get below 99, are deemed failures by their overprotective asian parents..
