Now that the school grounds are deserted and everyone is learning in the comfort of their pj's; what are your opinions about online classes?

Lots of distractions mainly because the classes are much shorter and there is nobody there to monitor you; you can't visit the library to stay away from distractions, that's just me though.

Yeah I was trying to use my phone as a second screen, ended up playing games and bludging the class haha.

For uni our online tutes are annoying because I get easily distracted from my phone. Thankfully I study the content ahead so even if I do get lost I can keep up 😂, but fb is fr so annoying

Pros: no need to travel, saves time, quick and efficient access, no need for social interaction, comfortable clothes and food on hand
Cons: if u have shitty wifi ur dead, can get distracted easily, some content is near impossible to understand without a teacher spoonfeeding you irl, miss friends

I agree with the pros, I was able to sleep in an extra hour if i don't stay up lol.

Make sure you stay connected with friends online on messaging platforms or even set up video chats so you see each other. Just because we're physically distancing, doesn't mean we should distance ourselves from socialising with friends.

Definitely a bit difficult getting into a routine tbh

Do any of you guys also still do tutoring on the side?

I don't do tutoring but I did find it easier to ask my teachers for extra lessons. In a way, it's kinda like tutoring. I wanted to learn the basics of integration ahead of the adv class before I learn further integration in MX2.

Honestly wonder how people with bad wifi are attending Zoom classes. Or some unis are doing exams via webcam or zoom etc, how are people with bad wifi meant to survive?

Anyway online classes are fun, I have 1 per week because the other classes decided just to pre-record and upload (thankfully) and add some consultation sessions. Was just zoned out watching pro LoL games during the class

Do you guys still have to go to adv lessons even if you do MX2?

No, it's even removed from my timetable.
But I saw the scope and sequence for adv, it doesn't align with MX2 as integration is much later in the year. That's why I asked for extra lessons or I would be screwed not knowing before doing further integration.

My school uses google hangouts since we already use g suite. They even offered wifi modems and limited offers for free data. It's a public high school so I guess they would try to be more inclusive for students.
