They'll show you around and tell you more about your course..etc.. and you can also do library tours and campus, peer to peer workshops and much more!

It's actually really helpful, I highly recommend it. They give you course info, tell you more about extra curriculars, heaps of freebies hehehe, campus tours, library tours etc. You could also sign up for stuff like uws mates where older, more experienced uni students help you out for the first few weeks of uni, and we also organise gatherings and other events where us mentors and you mentees get to chill and talk about uni stuff (I'm a mentor btw, so you better sign up hahaga)

The activities you guys mentioned will be at all campuses right?
Also, would you guys recommend going for like the whole day or just the time allocated for my courses orientation; which is 2 hours? If you get what I mean...

Hey there. Yes the activities will be held on all campuses. Also I would advise you to come an hour before your orientation for your course starts so that you get things like student ID. And even walking around your campus and discovering where everything is on your own. That actually helped me a fair bit.

I agree, orientation is pretty helpful.
Student diaries are given out (they only supply them to first years sadly =( )
You also get hard copies of your course handbook etc
Annnd they give you answers to all those stupid questions you have but are too afraid to ask =P

Yeah the diaries are pretty awesome...omg sooo many freebies during the first week or so if uni..it was heaven ( until that first assignment was handed out )

But they only give them to first years =(
