Alright, I changed degree this semester so I had to fill out another one of those FEE-HELP forms, and supply my tax file number, et cetera. I chose to fully-defer my course fees, but they are still showing up in eStudent as overdue.
It says "HECS and FEE-HELP debts will be deferred in due course if you have supplied your tax file number", but it's been like this for a month or so now. Is this normal?
I also received a letter stating that if I have fully deferred I don't have to pay anything. Yet... I'm still waiting for eStudent to clear, how long will it be?
Will it clear on August the 31st; the census date?
Just, if they've fucked up, I want to be able to get it sorted out before the census date, otherwise hundreds of innocent Macquarie students will die painfully in the ensuing massacre.
