Paragraph Length - Should I split each concept over two paragraphs, two texts each? (1 Viewer)

Ok i know how there's no specific length a paragraph should be or anything, but my teacher said i should look at each of my concepts/arguments in relation to each of my four texts (two prescribed/two related). This is going to end up making each paragraph 600 words!

Is it better to keep it to one concept, one paragraph, or to break it up so that it's easier for the markers to read etc?

I'm going 4 paragraphs like this, each with a prescribed and related, which worked fine in my trial so i'll go it again

1st point
Paragraph 1: Text a/b
Paragraph 2: Text c/d

2nd point
Paragraph 3: Text a/b
Paragraph 4: Text c/d

I went to a thing earlier in the year with senior extension markers. The lady who took my group said that the essay's introduction should be about a page, and your paragraphs should be longer. Don't worry about it.

My structure is pretty simple I guess

Prescribed 1
Prescribed 1 (paragraph 2)
Related 1

Prescribed 2 (poem)
Prescribed 3 (different poem same poet)
Related 2

How are your lengths for the essay/ creative in general

Well length has never been an issue for me before but my essay don't integrate texts so my structure's basically:

Para 1&2 (Text 1)
Para 3&4 (Related Text 1)
Para 4&5 (Text 2)
Para 5&6 (Related Text 2)

Tbh, i've been so unprepared for extension, idk why it's just the one subject i've never really bothered with (terrible i know), so i don't have a real grasp on how long it'll be. I don't think i'll be able to get a total of 3000 words (essay + creative), which is about what the BOS expects, simply because i write fairly slowly. I'll probs aim for 1500/1600 with the essay and 1300/1400 for creative i think. I just want this exam to be over!

Ah fair enough, i've always integrated mine, doing them separately seemed to frustrate me haha.


ALSO, how many themes are you guys looking at (if the question allows)? I was thinking 3, but now i think i might only have time for 2.

3 themes definitely for me

m8 ive done absolutely nothing all year for extension bar written a creative and some essay points

i was meant to be refining my essay points today but i have done absolutely *nothing* (NOTHING (N0TH1NG))

so screwed so so so so screwed

I think i should probs cut my themes down, 634 words on one is not looking good for the rest haha (if i actually ever do the rest -_-). Man i'm feeling your pain so much! I was supposed to have written a million essays this year...or at least one (apart from exams), but yeah, this will be fun!
