You bagged me out for that facebook comment I left you. And I'm sorry Ronald but I agree with them, purely because you mocked me. Nobody mocks Lilian.

Not about my parents but equally surprising:

my english teacher actually said "I don't know how you kids cope. You have so much more work then we did." I was like OMG an adult who actually admits the HSC is a lot to do.

Re: Something that made you say "my parents are so naive"

I've had to explain the aligning and scaling of marks to my parents again and again. For the past four years.
My dad took until this week to realise that he hasn't seen any of my raw marks in any subject since we got to Australia.
My mum has completely given up on understanding it at all. Going through my school certificate results with them was a joy.

"Why can't they just make exams of ~equal difficulty every year?"
"Why don't they make schools all sit the same school based assessment tasks? And have them externally marked too?"
"What if one year is brighter than another?"
"So the UAI is a rank. Why does your rank matter?"

My parents are naive because they automatically assume that I'm studying if I'm on my computer....lol

I told my mum I was only aiming for an 80+ UAI because I need 79.
It broke her heart, she looked like she was about to cry, and we argued for about 30 mins.

She wants me to get 90+ lol.

I came first in my 4 unit trial with a decent mark and my mum complains to me saying that her friends son got 100% in 2unit...No matter home many times i attempt to explain the alligning/scaling system she says the same crap

Me: "Do you know who Dave Grohl is?"
Maths teacher: "Huh?"
Me: Do you know "Dave Grohl?"
Maths teacher: (Checks her students role) "Well he's not one of my students..."
