Part-time jobs during HSC (1 Viewer)

Just curious... who has a part time job? How much time are you taking off, if any?

I know a few friends who work in maccas. it takes about 3~10 hours a week and they manage their school work just fine.

I know one student who is actually smart and has a part time job at a gas station.

A couple of my friends worked, they worked about 8-10 hours a week, woolies/fruit shop/Nandos, etc... they all managed fine

I work three hours on a sunday at a local surf shop and 2 hours umpiring netball. bout $100 for the week and only 5 hours.
I think it helps me manage my time better cause I'm not putting things off until later as I know I have to work later.
The money is good too, paying for petrol, schoolies, 18ths, clothes, maccas (becoming more essential as the exams draw closer).
And I don't have a reliance on my parents, I don't like to mooch off them when I don't have to.
Also, my boss is really good and lets me have time off when I need it, or work more if I want to.
Looks good on resumes and early entry too.

I have a part-time job. I just don't work during exam periods and when I had musical/debating.

I work 6 hours a week and there's plenty of time left for studying.
