I've seen heaps of threads asking for recommendations about what people/planet units to do, so I thought i'd give my recommendations as i've also been pretty lost and was helped heaps by people on this forum.

People units:
AHIS140
PSY250

Planet Units:
ANTH106 (very easy)
ISYS100

Other units to consider: BIOl260, HRM107

I've done AHIS140 ( Myth in the Ancient World), I agree it was very easy as well.

The main assignments are a tutorial paper ( which you can hand in pretty much any week) and 1 x 2000 word essay due in the last couple of weeks. You get 3 topics to choose from. No end of semester exam.

Nah don't do HRM for a first year subject it marks surprising harsh.

Another popular people unit is Critical Thinking - PHL137 http://www.handbook.mq.edu.au/2016/Units/UGUnit/PHL137 which has the benefit of having no exam as well.
It is apparently also a fairly interesting course and if I had space then I'd consider doing it.

Someone has suggested GEOS204 which is a planet unit involving "Life, the Universe and Everything".

Wow just read the unit guide for this subject. It actually sounds very interesting

yeah nah, i don't recommend doing GEOS204 as a planet unit, especially if you have no science background. plus it has an exam. there are much better subjects to choose over this.
