Just curious personal statements aren't used any more are they?
I have read old forum posts refering to personal statements and i heard that they got rid of them can someone please confirm this for me.

What are you using the Personal Statement for? Directly applying to university?

Well i heard about personal statements on applications im not sure if its with UAC or directly with the university, im just wondering if i missed the personal statement section in the UAC application if it has one.

Yes they are still used at universities like UTS to improve your chances of selection.

edit: Well i found the personal statement form but it is only for a couple of courses

Its through UAC. Next to your course preferences on UAC it should say whether or not you can write a personal statement.

I wanted to send in one for construction project management but apparently they don't accept it for that course, the annoying thing is a mate of mine got a call from uts and they want him to send in a personal statement and his applying for the same course (the selection process is suss)
