Pure Hydrogen chloride is a gas.
What volume of HCL (g) (measured at 25 degrees C and 100kPa) would have to be dissolved in 2.00 L of water to produce a solution with pH of 1.25?

pH = -log(H+)

H+ = 10^-pH = 10^-1.25 = 0.056234 mol/L

n(HCl) = 0.056234 mol/L* 2 L = 0.11247 mol

V(HCl (g)) = n(HCl)*MV = 0.11247 mol*24.79 L/mol = 2.788L = 2.79 L (3s.f.)
