If you go on a physical journey you also go on a personal journey, whether it be realisation, or just to think about things.

It can be seen in many different movies, book, articles. Just choose one and you should be able to see evidence of this

that was the exact question for my exam. what texts are you doing, i might be able to help you with it.

anyways my thesis was based around something like this:

> through the various obstacles and hardships that one encounter, it enables them to broaden their understanding of themselves and the world around them.

I think whether you agree or not will depend on the texts u have chosen, and the viewpoints they provide. You'll probably be able to develop your thesis from there.

If ur texts don't provide a clear-cut viewpoint in that one says yes and one says no, etc... about journeys being about learning experiences you could always compare and contrast between the viewpoints.

That said generally any decent text relating physical journeys will change those undertaking a physical journey. More often that not it will be a learning experience.
