is it necessary to purchase textbooks for chem and physics? If so which textbooks?

If you're in Yr 11 at the moment, I wouldn't recommend buying any Prelim textbooks, cause there's barely a term left. However, for Chemistry - Conquering, Jacaranda, Spotlight or Contexts seem to be the better ones (I prefer Conquering), whereas for Physics - Jacaranda, Spotlight are the ones which most people seem to buy (I prefer Jacaranda).

we don't have to buy text books we borrow them from the school, we use Contexts for Chem (i personally think its great) and i don't know for physics

We get to borrow textbooks from school, but we get Pathways, which is shit.
