Hello
Just want to ask if you guys can interpret this dotpoint on what is asking you to do. I am asking this because I have a cosmic engine assignment relating to the phoenix mars lander.

"describe the scientific principles employed in particular areas of research physics"

Thanks

What I think it's asking, in regards to the pheonix mars lander, is what scientific ideas does the lander use to carry out it's research. For example, it may be used to hypothesise the composition of the atmosphere, and this can be done by measuring radiation that can travel through the atmosphere i.e. If ozone is present, some UV light, X-Ray, and Gamma radiation would be filtered out, thus the lander would detect an insignifcant, or inexistant higher frequency radiation.
