A truck is travelling at a speed 20ms East a car is travelling at a speed of 30ms an observer in the truck reckons the speed of the car is more then 30ms, Explain why this is with reference to velocity of the car relative to speed of the truck.

I did it with Pythagoras's Theory if it is the question from Prelim

To find the velocity of the car relative to the truck its:
VCar->Truck
= VCar - VTruck
Vector subtraction here, and the answer should be >36
