Can someone please help me in the syllabus dot point (I can't find any good information on this):

In order for EMR to be utilised as a means of communication, it must meet certain requirements.
Although higher frequency EMR carries more data, it also has the potential to be harmful to humans. That's why anything above visible light (UV, X-rays and gamma rays) aren't frequently (if at all) used in communications.Generally, the range of the EMR spectrum used in modern communication ranges from radio-visible light.
Radiowaves:
- Radio (AM and FM)
- Space communication
- Long distance communication (certain wavelengths, i believe it was shortwave, reflect off the Earth's ionosphere and can thus be used to reach places other EMR cannot as EMR travels in a straight line)
Microwaves:
-TV
-Mobile phones
Visible light:
-Optical fibres (eg. internet)
