Fact: British American Tobacco donates shitloads to the Liberal Party of Australia and essentially nothing to any other political party in the world. Their website says they can't make political donations unless it's to support the interests of the company.

Personally i don't believe the plain packaging on cigarettes is needed, mainly because fancy packaging does not work on adults as well as children.

A better motive is instead of spending tax money on force plain packaging, tax the shit out of cigarettes in their normal packaging (to the point where it won't lead to a huge black market)

The Liberal Party survives off Big Tobacco donations for their monetary edge.
Both have equal donations from major blue chip companies
The Greens and Labor recieve a little less funding than the libs do from their big tobacco monies.
However many unions such as the nurses union no longer fund labor, and only fund the greens as they support increase health funding whereas the major parties don't. likewise with teachers and university lecturer unions. Not to mention a high amount of personal donations
Labor and the Libs have been pulling helps of money out of the essential services, this is the explanation of the funding of the greens.
