I'm a bit worried at the moment. I started playing games (after I do an intensive 4-8 hrs of study) at night as a break. I haven't played games all year and recently started playing...

I'm a bit worried whether this will play against me. I don't want to sacrifice my ATAR of 95+ (considering I've worked extremely hard)

What are you guys doing right now??? Studying hard and giving yourselves a plenty of break? What type of breaks do you usually grant yourselves??

I should quit playing games >.>

There's nothing wrong with playing games before a big exams. I did it often during the HSC and subsequently in university. The trick is to not overdo yourself. From what you've detailed about your study plan, I think you've struck a great balance between study and relaxation provided you aren't forgoing sleep. Don't get pressured into thinking that having breaks will reduce your performance.

Just make sure you know when to quit though. If you find yourself losing track of time, that's a sign that you have overdone it and you need to get back to the grind.

Nothing wrong with it if your study time isn't sacrificed.

Leisure breaks are super important. Make sure you schedule them in regularly. Do your work, but make sure you have some leisure you don't burn out. Because once you burn out... then you're pretty much stuffed.

Anyhow, I was going to do 3-4 hrs of RE tonight but ended up doing 2 hrs >.> and started playing getamped again (that is from 2am - 3am)

So in total, I did around 6 hrs of study today... ashamed.

I should really do 8 hrs a day from tmr!!!!!!!!! :p And I get around 9-10 hrs of sleep.

Wow, I aim for 6hrs a day and think that's an achievement already.

You can't study all the time. During the day, i go driving, gym, and play games and all the usual stuff. I don't see chilling as a reward, or have a set amount of time for it; i just take them whenever i feel like it. You also mentioned in your subsequent post, only doing 2 hours instead of 4 for RE. Just now i managed within 45 minutes to go through a whole topic in Biology, and learnt quite a lot. So don't set time limits for revision.

And No you shouldn't stop mate.

This is basically what I do:

2pm - wake up

3 - 5 pm - exercise

5-9pm - study (with 5-10 min breaks in between studies)

9-11pm - rest on the computer

11-3am - study a specific subject (I try... yesterday, I failed and did it up to 1am - because it was RE and it's boring)

Um, you should get into a positive sleeping pattern just before the HSC, like waking up 9am etc.
