I hope you are well and that you have received our e-mails and physical
letters regarding the ASSIST scholarship. We have not heard from you and are
concerned that the news has not reached you.
Let me further complicate your decision.
ASSIST also represents the Davis Scholarship program. This program is
different in that students come to the U.S. for multiple years, graduate
from their American boarding school, and then have an opportunity to go on
to an American university. I mention this program to you because you are a
good fit and wish to study in the U.S. for college.
The Davis family pays half of your tuition at the American boarding school,
and the school itself pays up to the other half (your family must fill out a
financial aid form to see how much you qualify for). Further, if you are
accepted to one of the 90 American universities with which the Davis family
has an affiliation, the family will pay US $20,000 toward your tuition each
year for four years.
Westminster School in Connecticut, one of our member schools, is interested
in you as a Davis Scholar. I suggest that you speak with your parents and
decide if you wish to pursue this. If you do, I will put you in touch with
Ms. Kimberly Pope at Westminster, who coordinates the program. If you do not
wish to pursue this, or are declined, the offer to join ASSIST still stands.
