I remember playing that. I had charmander the entire time as my only pokemon (he evolved of course) i guarantee you can beat anyone/anything coz when you only use one their level goes up like woooooooooooooah. that was my experience anyway.

only time i'd ever consider cheating is if i want a pokemon with a specific ability and a specific nature and a specific gender with a specific move learnt after breeding.

it can be quite a bitch trying to get the perfect egg.

i once hatched an entire box full of eggs (around 20) and none of the babies had the nature i wanted.

only situation i'd consider cheating in.
