Possibility of Plagiarism (1 Viewer)

Thing is I gave my essays to some of the students at my school since they struggled with English, but I am now scared that they will just copy what I wrote....this fear developed after watching a segment of The Project

Would the HSC marker consider this as plagiarism if they found essays that were similar to each other?

Possibly. This is why I really don't like to share essays. But the markers have to take into account the fact that the people are in the same class as you, so the teacher will teach the same stuff, give same notes etc.

Should of just given them my drafts instead of my final copy....well they are in the same class, if they do take that into account, would we still receive our individual marks?

The chances are admittedly low but people in the past have been caught before, I wouldn't risk it even if that means no sharing of essays, sharing of say ideas etc would be much more beneficial

I daresay they scope the internet for essays pertaining to the question they are marking.

I suspect they do prepare.

I don't think that is allowed at all.

Plagiarism is plagiarism.

Im guessing I shouldnt be as worried as I should be since HSC questions are different every year,
As long as I am able to mould mine to the question effectively, it should look diffierent

They probably won't even realise, as you said you moulded it to the qn + who knows, maybe your mate didn't memorise it. Dw about it
