The Ataris are awesome End is forever is the best album. Boys of summer is the worse song the have ever recorded. Some awesome bands are: Rufio, Thursday, Student rick, Sunny day real estate, The starting line, the used, yellowcard, mxpx, the vandals, reel big fish, less then jake, frenzal rhomb, the early november, boy meets ground (local aussie band), NOFX, Bodyjar, Fall out boy, AFI, Bagster (local aussie band), two second fuse (local), pennywise, dashboard ocnfessional, boy sets fire, rancid, Finch, Lagwagon, flashlight brown, Mad caddies, last years hero (local), no joel (local, saves the day, slick shoes, something corporate, taking back sunday, The juliana theory
i love most of those bands, great quality music.

Rufio are great, 1985 has some good songs but also some poor ones by rufio standards. all the songs on perhaps i suppose were genius.

The starting line are cool, they're newest album is a little overproduced though, i liked the raw feel of their ep.

Dashboard confessional have always been awesome. became a fan in 2001 when i heard places you come to fear most, a classic album in my collection. You should also check out Chris' old band before he made DC, further seems forever, their old stuff is awsome.

Saves the days new album is absolutely awful. Stay what you are was a change in sound but it was still a masterpiece lyrically and musically. i just cant get in to the new album.

Something corporate - leaving through the window was a masterpiece. enough said.

taking back sunday - great band also.

The juliana theory - probably my favourite band. been a fan for more than two years. Love is a great album, very different to their older stuff and much harder but i still love it. My favourite album is understand this is a dream.

The albums from these bands are sometimes quite hard to find at the stores, i often have to order them from america on the internet.

Have you realised that out of all those bands all their old stuff is for some reason better than their new stuff?

That is what I have been hearing, I haven't got their album yet (I have all heir others) but I think I might just save my money. "Through Being Cool" is my favourite Saves The Day Album:).

I would say that because The Ataris have been signed to a major record label (Columbia Records) they might have been paid to change their style to sell more records? I still think their latest album is good though.

Has anyone here heard of the band "Whippersnapper"? They are another great band some of you might what to take a look at:).

I don't think that The*Ataris change due to sighing a major label, if you listen to the lyrics in all of the albums, you can tell that Kris is maturing and getting over writing songs about how some girl broke his heart. Further seems forever are a good band, I have listen to a bit of their stuff. mxpx are playing the roundhouse on the 23/11 i'm looking forward to it

Utopia rocks. I quite like The*Ataris, I love 'Teenage Riot' & 'San Dimas High School Football". I also don't mind the cover they did of "Boys of Summer".

HMV next to grace bros sometimes has imports. i bought rufio -1985 and something corporate - leaving through the window there. unfortunately imports are usually about 5 bucks more expensive than normal cds.

Is that in Sydney? Anyway, JB-HIFI in Newcastle has some imports, so I am not totally deprived:).

the ataris were one of my favourite bands until they released So long astoria and the recent mass comercialisation of them with followed it.
im worried that they might follow in the same footsteps as blink182. Damn that would be bad.

If you want REAL punk, you go for The Sex Pistols, Clash, FUGAZI, etc.
