i'm severely doubting the ability of our grade....The highest mark was only 112/120.

Physics: 76% (3/4) I'm kinda happy with it but not thrilled
Modern History: 93% (1/20)
Mathematics: 66% (3/9) FML!!!! :/
Engineering: 80% (1/7) Wanna be getting about 90%+ in past papers by HSC
Standard English: 65% in Paper 1, 48% in Paper 2 (about top 10/60) :/ English is beyond me lol

School was ranked 180th last year

Did anyone do the Independent Chem paper? and if so, how do you think it would compare to the CSSA paper? We were told by our teacher that the Independent was the harder exam and that it was the reason we were given that exam, but there seems to be a few on here who seem adamant that the CSSA paper for chem was quite hard.

And it only goes up to around 700.

If you think about it, around 60 000 kids sit the hsc. If there are thousands of schools, then you're saying each school has about 10 kids in year 12. Does that sound right?

So yes, a school rank around 500 is pretty bad.
Next time, do your research before giving advice.

I've received everything so far except paper 1 of English..

hahaha, my english cohort is only like 15 ppl LOL.
But yeah, I've been first all year - probably undeserving in English hahaha
But I would really like to keep it - I'd probably need it in order to achieve 98+

Only got comprehension and creative writing left to get back, I currently have a 0.5 mark buffer on 2nd - how nerve racking, hahaha.

Did you do CSSA papers? or one's set by your school?

Hi Everyone! I've got some of my trial marks back
98/105 for english advanced (57/60 for modules and 41/45 for belonging) = 93%
75% for chem which I was a little upset with but still came 2nd
Maths, we all did badly...I got 68% but came 2nd (maths won't count for me!)
German continuers I got 97%! Just lost 3 marks in listening.
And I'm still waiting for modern, extension english and religion...hopefully they're ok :S

English is going to disappoint me and most likely drop myself from 1st to 3rd! =/
