no, it wont print a new one. it will give you the exact same timetable. I'm pretty sure this was discussed in this thread. the only way it can possibly give you a different timetable to your existing one, is if you click on the timetable changes link, allocate a day off, or 2 time periods off, click continue, look at the proposed timetable, then click 'accept new timetable'.

no, it can change. I was warned of this last semester but I forgot to save my tt and accessed it again twice (yes, I'm THAT stupid) and it changed both times. It drove me crazy.

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

Has anyone overloaded 2 semesters in a row?
I'm thinking about doing it but it's so risky.
I really want a 3.5 month vacation!
If I overloaded and passed I wouldn't have to do summer school
however, the subject I'm considering overloading is ACCT3014, which is not likely to be a breeze.

did you fail something before? is that why you're doing summer school. if you're overloading a subject you've failed, it shouldn't be a problem

I'm not overloading a subject I've failed.

I'm thinking about overloading with an elective, but I don't know what subject I should choose.
If anyone knows, besides ENGL1000, any subjects (easy ones) that don't have a final exam and has no group work, please share your experience and thoughts here.

Also, has anyone done INFS3060 Managing BIS Projects?
How's the workload and difficulty?

Thanks.

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

wait...so why do you need to overload if you havent failed anything?

ECOF1001 is very easy, and you could do it. I'm doing it this sem. Basically 3 main forms of assessment in the past:
Essay on pornography/marijuana/something else
Oral Presentation on a topic of your choosing
A learning journal (i.e. a short reflective entry on what you learned each week)

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

So I've switched from HSTY1034 to HSTY1088 and am so so so close to a perfect timetable (or at least the closest I can get to perfect given the lecture times), but it's putting me in a 4pm ANHS tute which gives me a three-hour break (bad) and results in me finishing at 5pm (bad). Anyone got any suggestions as to how to convince the ANHS tute to move to 2pm or thereabouts?

Never mind, I managed to get it into 2pm through luck. New timetable:

Awesome.

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

The main problem with it is the lecture times, which are fairly spread out, but there's nothing I can do about that. (And the Monday can't be changed because there's a very limited number of ARNE1001 tutes available through the week - I think three, one of which is at 9am which is earlier than I'd like.) So I've tried within those limitations to organise the tutes to make the breaks shorter, and I think it works reasonably well.

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

Only got 3 subjects to go so only 9 hours a week which is pretty sweet:

I want to graduate earlier. I've already enrolled in another subject (not INFS3060 or ECOF1001). It seems pretty hard, but I want to stick with it because it is my passion. I don't want to give it up.

ECOF1001 sounds interesting, from what you've said. I'm interested in the assignment: essay on pornography. That's cool. Do you reckon it would be available in semester 1 in 2008? Did you do it in semester 1 or 2..

Re: Post your Semester 2 timetable

It's actually not an essay on porn anymore. It's only a semester 2 subject. i'm doing it now. you can join now.

The assessments this sem are:
30% oral presentation on ANYTHING
15% tutorial participation
20% 1-page summary of a journal article
10% journal (you make an entry after each week to say what you learned)
25% essay

Essay topics are:
high UAI = high intelligence
English language tests for immigration to Aus are racist
Economic development = environmental degradation
