I have always wondered how precipitates generate their colours.
This might be a bit beyond the syllabus, but it doesn't hurt knowing.
How does it happen?

Copper and OH --> PALE BLUE PRECIPITATE
Iron (III) and OH--> BROWN PRECIPITATE
