I put my trial raw marks in to lol

English - 68
MX1 - 84
MX2 - 55
Physics - 67
Economics - 57
Cosmology  ill throw in 85 because thats the average of everything I've got so far

UAI: 81.15

thats extremely shit.

When using SAM, look at the "state percentile" column to give you an idea of what you should get. So, modestly having a go, this is what I did;

English Advanced - 20th percentile - 86
Economics - 55th percentile - 78
Physics - 15th percentile - 87
MX1 - 5th percentile - 96
MX2 - 25th percentile - 89
Cosmology - 35th percentile - 83

and this gave a better approximation, I guess. 97.75

point of this post being LOOK AT THE 'STATE PERCENTILE' - you should have a relatively good idea of where you are in the state.
there is no way an economics mark of 57 will scale upward to 75 your kidding yourself there big time

Keep in mind that he goes to a selective school, and while I'm not sure about economics, a raw mark of about 60% will be about the mid-70s for most subjects. In my physics trial last year i got 66% and got 92 at the end - I probably got about 80-85% in the actual exam.

I also put my trial marks in and got 90.5 (it was brought up by 91 in legal studies and giving me 88 in cosmology).

My prediction (at least partially based on previous years at our school):
English - 86
Modern - 90 [SAM didn't count it]
Maths Ext. 1 - 95 (might be a bit hopeful, but I did a past James Ruse trial paper today and got 80/84 :D)
Maths Ext. 2 - 92
Physics - 92 [already got it]
Legal Studies - 93 [although i might be a chance of getting higher]
Cosmology - 88 [have no idea so i just put it as that - wasn't counted]

UAI = 99.30

my raw trial marks:
maths ext2 68%
maths ext1 70%
esl eng 73%
physics 53%
eco 75%

Sam predicts: 68.65

then i 'aligned' the marks, based on the assumption dat my trial was same hard as hsc
plugin in:
4u: 85%
3u: 83%
esl: 73%
eco: 78%
phy: 65%

Sam gives: 80.55

mmm im aimin for 90.s tho... n i predict my UAI will lie between 85~90... possibily go ova 90..

game, how did u align your marks?
according to ranks?
nah... im ranking 1st n 2nd in everything coz im in a crappy school

so i thought i cud prbly treat my marks as raw marks, and aligned those raw marks according 2 the previous yr's 'raw to aligned' ratio.. just an estimate.. not very accurate.

Aiming for at least 85, and I think my UAI will be somewhere between 80 and 90.
But if i'm lucky, my 97/100 in senior science will raise that a bit. But I don't think senior science really helps to getting a good UAI, anyone have any experience of that?

Why do a lot of people think that they will get the UAI estimated when they put in raw trial marks?

Pending on how frequently I study, 80+ minimum, but I hope it is 90+ minimum. All I must do is consume my life in study.
