The Acidic Environment: acidic oxides (probably unlikely), acidic/basic salts OR safety of acid/base spills, esterification
Chemical Monitoring and Management: catchment facilities, water treatment process, effect of the Habert process of society

Would you say like its been tried in countries in brazil but economically it wasn't good and how it is a better alternative to petrol but there is debate on how ethanol might damage the cars motor etc

I can't imagine a 6 marker on your chemist- there isn't enough to talk about. Iirc there was a 3 marker on it last year (or maybe year before) so I doubt they'd retest it. Personally, I'd love a Haber question but that might be too easy for those devious minds at BOS.

Nah, I think that can be used for even 7 marks, easily.

Yes, how it was used in Brazil but caused food prices to rise (fuel was prioritised) making it an economical failure. Then talk about how they revert to petrol and then flex-fuel engines are used. Most countries use only small concentrations of ethanol (E10 etc).

I hope so, but I think there might be a question about describing a procedure to determine the nitrogen content of fertiliser with inclusion of chemical equations and assumptions that can be made but i hope not

And maybe one on effects of eutrophication, why it happens, and the recommended levels and all that?

Both of those were tested last year/year before (maybe year before that as well).

Yeah i prefer one on eutrophication then determining concentrations of phosphate/nitrate but the concentrations of them are linked to eutrophication so they might ask us to calculate something in the question

The sulfate one was a fertiliser one including a 4 mark calculation iirc.

Hmmm...interesting but personally, it doesn't seem to be a question they would do this year...

I feel that the test will be more skills based than rote learning based.

Well, trust me, nothing in HSC chemistry is really that bad - most of it is quite straight forward.
