first I've heard of it being 'cliche'. I'm the only person in my school that wants to do law and the only one that wants to do arts.

nope, I only have a small grade but most want to do education, nursing, communications, engineering, physio, psychology.

most people at my skewl this year are aiming for international studies / law / commerce .. and all those humanities based courses.

I'm the only person who wants anything to do with Economics. A few people want Business in some form of management. We have one Medicine person, a few engineers, and that's about it.

With an economics or econometrics major the units are the same, making them essentially the same thing.

i think i`m one of the only two people who wanna do pharmacy .. out of a grade of 180.

Yeah, but a lot of the subject selection seems a bit better in an Eco degree, from what I have seen (if it is at all different) and the majors are more specific, which I like. Also, there is a more of a push at the moment for straight Eco degrees, apparently, which is driving the starting salaries up.

Industrial Design teaches the fundamental and later, specific principles of Industrial Design.

Can someone besides Samuel dearest tell me what Industrial Design is about. I've read 10000 things on it and still don't get it.

It extends from Engineering, but hardly any maths or nerds, and more concerntrated on the designing of anything physical from furniture to stationary to sunglassess, etc. It's a lot like Design & Technology if you have that at school.
