sound waves leaving one medium enter another where their speed is much greater. in both media the frequency is constant. expain the difference between sound waves in each medium.

a baritone and soprano were asked to sing into a microphone and the signal produced was fed into a crp. describe how you would assign each of the difference traces to the correct person

thanks in advance, hope you're all well. :)

1. I am not 100% sure on the info I remember so I won't say anything xD
2. Higher the pitch of the voice the higher the frequency (visa-versa lower pitch = lower frequency). Volume influences the amplitude (loud voice = high amplitude - quiet voice = low amplitude). A good way to investigate this is with the sound recorder on windows XP machines :)

i think for the first one it means that the medium is more dense in the second one than that of the first one.

Q1) sound waves leaving one medium enter another where their speed is much greater. in both media the frequency is constant. expain the difference between sound waves in each medium.

A1) Basically, if you enter from one medium to another medium and your speed increase it suggest the new medium is less denser than the original medium. ( If you dont understand this look at refraction and sin law)

Q2)a baritone and soprano were asked to sing into a microphone and the signal produced was fed into a crp. describe how you would assign each of the difference traces to the correct person

A2) The baritone is assigned the lower frequency wave while the Soprano is assigned the higher frequencey wave due to Soprano having a higher pitch than baritone.
