When we work out the solutions for absolute equations and absolute inequalities, do we have to test our solutions via substitution into the original equation?

When you have inequalties involved, usually you have to test; especially if theres more than 1 absol value in teh equation. Although, if you do a lot of examples, you will find that certain types of questions dont need testing. You also have to test an equality like this

|z+3| + |z-9| = 5

Just test evrything for now that looks complex. Good luck
