Who's offered stuff in the preliminary round? I'm confused between this and the main round......

Some universities have schemes when you are guaranteed entry if you meet last year's cut off or something, (e.g UWS I think). You would know if this applied to you I think.

yeh i got offers from uws a few days bak but now i got enough for usyd, so i think they r the best option, so when would i know if i got excepted by them?

9pm on Wednesday 21 January 2009 is main round, so it's most likely you'll receive an offer then.

I think the early and prelim rounds are generally for offers that are based primarily on factors that have nothing to do with the uai. eg auditions and portfolios

Or in the above cases, where unis like UWS have special schemes...
