"The mechanical laws of physics are the same for every observer moving uniformly with constant speed in a straight line"

Does that mean the mechanical laws of physics can be violated under other circumstances?

Thanks in advance :)

No, they just appear to be violated, for instance Newton's first law of motion will not hold true in a non-inertial frame of referrence for someone inside that frame of reference
