100 times more secure than the Popes protection. I don't really know how secure it is. Probably extremelly secure. You can see the outside of it.

I don't mean like it has gaurds standing outside with Uzi's. You can pray in front of it. But its location is secure. You wont be able to get in with a weapon or anything. This is the prophets tomb, it's obviously secure.

there'd be nothing left of him now.

especially since muslims don't bury the dead in coffins. it's easier for pests to get to the body.

Yeah, as you said, the body isn't supposed to be preserved, it's supposed to 'return to God'.
