Firstly you need between steps a and b
- Transcription factors bind to the promoter region of the gene
- RNA Polymerase II binds to the transcription factors
also, between 4 and 5 you need, for the mRNA
- splicing to remove introns
seriously if the mRNA just goes in the ribosome without splicing, it's going to produce nothing of any use... we're not prokaryotes here guys
and for the tRNA
- aminoacyl-tRNAsynthetase charges tRNA with an amino acid
you should also specify that the first tRNA is always the one carrying methionine, and it goes into the P-site of the ribosome to begin the peptide chain, whereas the subsequent tRNAs go in the A site before proceeding to the P site
The answers for Section 3 are just ridiculous
cells are pretty much always going to have the necessary amino acids, if not then you'd be in a lot of trouble
and the second answer is just flatly wrong, if a particular protein is to be made then of course the right gene is going to be read :S
the answer to 3 might be something like
- repressor proteins are deactivated by the presence of an inducer
- enhancing transcription factors are present
