if you want a job as a library technician (aka shit kicker) you need a diploma from tafe (or to have started one) they often hire casuals for shelving n such but it depends on the library. some will only take volunteers unless you have that damn certificate... others take seasonal contracts out with casuals and part-time help when they need it.
