I used L'hospital' rule (lopey tall's rule)

I had no idea how to do it otherwise, but i got 2/pi which i think was the correct answer

do i still get the markseven tho the method isnt in the syllabus?

You will get the mark. Being a 1 mark question, I would expect that 1 mark be given for the correct answer, which was as you said, 2/pi.

sin(x)/x ->1 as x-> 0

Therefore sin(pi/2 * x) / pi/2 x -> 1, sin(pi/2 * x) -> pi/2 * x

x/pi/2 * x = 2/pi

Did the same, but I wrote "by L'Hospital's rule...".

If it's outside you have to prove it, but proving L'Hosptial isn't that hard.

motivated enough to read ahead, dumb enough to not know how to use the tools in ones own toolbox. The classic 4U student.
Ease up. I could have done it the other way but L'Hospital's is what came to me first. Also our Head Teacher of Maths showed us it, so doesn't necessarily mean I read ahead ;)

Wasn't it just straight forward 3 unit theory?
The rule that says as lim x--> 0, (sinx)/x = 1?
